What is the best way to get to half a million dollars to start my own business, without warranty of any kind?
A friend I would like to start a coffee or place of music in a city in Ohio and a growing need for seed capital, we are currently SBA loans and investors, but we could use all the ideas we can!
$ 500K seems a lot to start a coffee shop / music stage. What I do is find a site and try to talk to the owner to help finance the operation. If you have a good business plan and can show how improvements to the property would be beneficial to the owner, he / she might be interested. Happens all the time. Find a dealer in hardware used instead of the new to reduce costs. Often, utilities in the restaurant business finance, equipment used on favorable terms, because it most likely has come into possession of a failed company. They are often receptive to invest in creating new businesses with potential. Apart from that start after friends and family. But you really have to sharpen their pencils and reduce start-up costs down. Maybe start smaller and grow cash flow improvement. The coffee shops are just a hard way to make money unless Starbucks buys less than what you can and put up milk profits. They also have great brand recognition that people do not even like coffee to go anyway.
